The revised guideline on totality was issued on 1 June 2023 and came into effect on 1 July 2023.

The consultation on the revised draft totality guideline opened on 5 October 2022 and closed on 11 January 2023.

Earlier versions
The Council’s first definitive guideline on totality was issued on 6 March 2012 , following a consultation conducted in 2011, and came into effect on 11 June 2012. It was replaced in 2023 by the existing guideline.
