If you have views on sentencing in England and Wales, please email us entering “Have your say” in the subject line.
Legislation states that the Sentencing Council must prepare and draft guidelines subject to public consultation. These consultations set out questions, suggestions and context for those responding, on which to comment. Following a consultation, the Council makes revisions and issues a definitive guideline.
When you give us your personal information, we make sure we protect it and follow all of the relevant data protection legislation.
Our privacy notice sets out the standards that you can expect from the Sentencing Council when we request or hold personal information (personal data) about you; how you can get access to a copy of your personal data; and what you can do if you think the standards are not being met.
