Crown Court Sentencing Survey quality and methodology note
This document provides more information on how the Crown Court Sentencing Survey (CCSS) data was checked to ensure it was of a suitable quality and fit for purpose including any limitations that may affect the quality of the results presented. It also summarises how the survey data were analysed to produce the results and how these results have been presented in the main publication, including the meaning of key concepts used. Finally, it discusses how the data have been used and provides further information and relevant background for users or potential users.
