The Sentencing Council has published a business plan setting out its aims and objectives for 2018/19.

These aims and objectives include publishing definitive guidelines on Breach Offences, Intimidatory Offences (including stalking, as well as the new offences of controlling or coercive behaviour and disclosing private sexual images), Manslaughter and Child cruelty and continuing work to prepare, and consult on proposed guidelines covering: Arson and Criminal Damage, Public Order, Firearms Offences, an overarching guideline on Mental Health and a General guideline for use where there is no offence specific guideline.
