Response to the final report of the Independent Sentencing Review

The Independent Sentencing Review is a detailed and important piece of work. There are a number of recommendations that will require careful consideration. The Sentencing Council will wait with interest to see what steps the Government intends to take to implement the recommendations, including by introducing legislation, and we will work with them and other criminal justice partners to make changes to guidelines where they may be necessary.
