The Sentencing Council has published a statistical bulletin and data tables, detailing recent sentencing trends for assault offences. This is in preparation for the launch of the Council’s Assault Offences guideline consultation, which will be published tomorrow (Thursday 16^th April).

The statistical bulletin and data tables include offences covered by the draft revised guideline, and comprise statistics on the number of offenders sentenced and sentencing outcomes for each offence.
