Diana Fawcett has been appointed as a non-judicial member of the Sentencing Council with specific responsibility for promoting the welfare of victims of crime. She was appointed to the Council by the Lord Chancellor in consultation with the Lord Chief Justice for three years from 5 April 2019.

Diana is Chief Officer of Victim Support. She joined the charity as Director of Operations in February 2015 and became Chief Officer in January 2018. Prior to Victim Support, Diana was Director of Operations at Shelter for seven years where she was responsible for the charity’s advice and support services. She has also worked for four London boroughs and three housing associations, managing housing, development and care services. For five years she has been Chair of Trustees of a South London charity providing advice and support to refugees.
