Other orders made on sentencing

There are certain orders that a court is required by law to make.  The ones that apply most commonly are the Victim Surcharge and the Criminal Courts Charge.

Courts have no discretion about the making of these orders, they automatically apply if the conditions set out in law are met.  They are separate from any other financial orders that a court may make such as fines, compensation or prosecution costs.
